Trio Ambassador is a group of three young musicians who met during their studies at the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland: Serbian accordionist Momir Novakovich, Swiss-Italian violinist Maristella Patuzzi and Polish cellist Barbara Misiewicz. The trio based in Ticino is a winner of the "Ambassador Club Lugano 2011”, prize from where the group took its name.
Trio Ambassador has performed on various occasions such as: Incontri Musicali in Morcote, Ceresio Estate, Concerts in San Martino in Ronco sopra Ascona, Ticino Musica, for the awards of Youth in Science at the University of Italian Switzerland in Lugano, at the University of Lucerne, and the Rolex Learning Center in Lausanne.
Trio Ambassador’s concerts abroad took place in Germany (for Bugari Armando), Italy (Concert Society of Milan), France, Poland (Cultural Society of Elblag) and Serbia, where they performed for Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia.
The idea of this unusual combination of instruments in a trio is to offer the public a range of music from classical to light, from Bach to Piazzolla, Shostakovich and Rihm, from the opera to the soundtracks from significant films as well as folk music. Trio Ambassador works closely with several composers who write for the ensemble.
